VACANCY: Community Artist in Residence (x2)
Salary: £7,500
Location: Gloucester
About the role:
We are seeking two creative practitioners to work as artists in residence for one year across our seven Children and Family Centres in Gloucester. The roles will support and engage children, young people and families to engage with creativity and culture through visual arts, performing arts, literacy arts, digital arts, applied arts, crafts and more.
Led by local communities, the artist will listen, understand and engage with local people, co-creating projects and events that realise the ambitions of communities, bringing families together, building community connections and promoting wellbeing.
The role will be supported Gloucester Culture Trust’s work through the Together Gloucester partnership, providing advice, networks and links to creative activities that communities want to see happening.

About the role:
As part of our Summer Community Research Programme 2026 we’re offering a paid opportunity (including full training and ongoing support during the role) to work with local residents and help shape decisions, services and investment across Gloucester.
Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll be out in neighbourhoods and community spaces across Gloucester, talking with residents and helping gather views, ideas and lived experiences with a particular focus on food.
